WHAT WE DO?


The Alone But Together Tour takes into account the various comfort levels associated with travel. The concept is simple; you get the autonomy of our own vehicle while enjoying the social elements of a group. No more queuing up to get on a bus, sitting in a crowded environment, or having to leave or arrive at a specific time. Package includes access to a virtual tour guide while enroute. Tour offered as Coastal & Mountain – opportunity to book separately or to combine for the truly adventurous.

Day by day!

Coastal = 10 days/9 nights AND/OR

Mountain = 9 days/8 nights

Day 1: Arrive Vancouver Airport (13 km) Coastal start

Start your adventure in the Vancouver terminal by viewing Bill
Reid’s magnificent sculpture ‘Spirit of Haida Gwaii, the Jade
Canoe’ which symbolizes the harmony – and strife – between
all living things in nature. Take the Canada Line or a taxi to the
Sandman on Davie in the heart of downtown Vancouver. All
ABT clients will meet in the lobby bar for a ‘Meet & Greet’ with
a CSM Travel representative. Enjoy planning the week and
getting to know your fellow ABT travellers.

Day 2: Vancouver
A guided bike tour will commence at 10 am. The CSM Travel representative will tour the group by bike through Stanley Park to view the majestic totems & Klahowya Village followed by a visit to the vibrant area of Gastown. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the great city highlights. Perhaps spend time at Granville Island, Chinatown or visit the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art in downtown Vancouver. Optional team meeting in lobby bar. Make arrangements to pick up your rental car at a downtown location.
Day 3: Vancouver – BC Ferries – Victoria (115 km)
Today you will travel via BC Ferries to Vancouver Island. BC Ferry passage and reservations can be prebooked by CSM Travel and added to your itinerary – please request this add on service at time of booking. Overnight is at the Embassy Hotel. Take time to explore the capital city of BC and visit the totem pole exhibit and a traditional long house at Thunderbird Park and learn about the history of the Salish people at the Royal BC Museum. Optional team meeting.
Day 4: Victoria – Ucluelet (293 km)
Today includes a mystery flightseeing adventure. Exciting details revealed night prior. Overnight is at the beautiful Black Rock Oceanfront Resort. Optional team meeting in lobby bar to discuss following day’s action plans.
Day 5 & 6: Pacific Rim Park
The days are spent exploring Pacific Rim National Park. Day 5 includes a morning Tofino whale watch tour. Day 6 includes an afternoon Indigenous canoe tour with T’ashi Paddle School. Optional activities include a Bear Watch Tour, surfing at Long Beach or hiking the local trails. Optional team meeting to review the next day’s activities.
Day 7: Ucluelet – Quadra Island (274 km)
Travel to Quadra Island for a 2 night stay at the Kwagiulth- designed & owned facility, Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge. The area is known for its beautiful beaches and scenery. Optional evening meeting.
Day 8: Quadra Island
Take time to visit the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre. Here you will be able to view the Potlach Treasures and Regalia and learn about the prolonged struggle to return the confiscated artifacts to the Kwabiuth people. A gallery onsite offers a fine selection of local artists’ carvings, jewellery and prints. Day 8 also includes an early morning kayak adventure. Optional team meeting to share adventure stories in the hotel lobby bar.
Day 9: Quadra Island – BC Ferries – Whistler (341 km)
Today travel on BC Ferries back to the mainland for a spectacular drive up the Sea to Sky Highway. BC Ferry passage and reservations can be prebooked by CSM Travel and added to your itinerary – please request this add on service at time of booking. As you travel along the Sea to Sky Highway, note the Stawamus Chief overlooking the town of Squamish Overnight is at the Adara Hotel. Optional meeting.
Day 10: Whistler Mountain Tour Begins
The Peak2Peak Adventure, the longest and highest gondola worldwide is optional. Be sure to save time for the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre where you will discover the legends and the people behind the art, history and culture of the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations. Other optional activities include a Wildlife Tour or hike & swim at Lost Lake. Optional team meetings each night to exchange adventure stories in lobby bar. Coastal end
Day 11: Whistler – Sun Peaks (356 km)

Continue the adventure with a drive into the interior of BC, Overnight will be at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel. Optional activities include hikng, biking or sightseeing. Optional team meeting at a local pub.

Day 12: Sun Peaks – Clearwater (131 km)
Today is a short drive to Clearwater. Overnight is at Dutch Lake Motel which sits beside Dutch Lake. Optional team meeting.
Day 13: Wells Gray Park
Time to enjoy Wells Gray Park. The park is well known for its impressive waterfalls (Helmcken Falls & Dawson Falls) and wildlife viewing. Enjoy hiking and a picnic lunch. Optional team meeting al local pub to share adventure stories.
Day 14: Clearwater – Jasper (318 km)
Today’s drive will pass through Mount Robson Park. Mount Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy an optional Blue River Safari Adventure along the way. Overnight in Jasper at the Jasper Inn & Suites, Jasper National Park. Optional team meeting in lobby bar to recap the day’s adventures.
Day 15: Jasper National Park
Time to enjoy Jasper National Park. An afternoon Jasper Foodie Tour is included in today’s actvities. Details to be reviewed at team meeting night prior. Optional morning activities include Maligne Cruise, Wildlife Tour, Gondola ride, hiking the local paths or visiting the picturesque town centre. Optional team meeting to bond with fellow ABT travellers in hotel lobby bar in early evening.
Day 16: Jasper – Icefields Parkway - Banff (288 km) ​
One of the most spectacular drives today down the Icefields Parkway. There will be time to stop at the Columbia Icefields for an optional Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Perhaps a stop in Lake Louise to see the local sights is preferred. Overnight is at The Dorothy Hotel in Banff National Park. Optional team meeting at local bar.
Day 17: Banff National Park
Day 17 includes a morning Wildlife Tour. There are also many more highlights waiting to be explored! Take time to explore the world-famous town of Banff and the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum. A visit to famous Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks is also recommended. Other optional activities include Sulphur Mountain Gondola ride, hiking the spectacular local scenic trails or spending time strolling Banff Avenue. The final team meeting will take place at local pub to enjoy new friendships, exchange addresses and share adventure stories. Mountain end
Day 18: Banff- Calgary Airport for Return flight (139 km) ​
